    Kathleen Ford, DVM

    Dr. Ford was raised in Farmington, Utah where she grew up with  plethora of animals, such as hamsters, chickens, lambs, cattle, horses, cats and dogs! Dr. Ford, graduated from Colorado State University in 1988 with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. In 1999, she was elected the first female President of the Utah Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Ford enjoys challenging cases involving dermatology, reproduction and endocrinology. Her hobbies include cooking, participating in dog shows and traveling with her with her two furry companions: Denny, a Bullmastiff; and Beans, a French Bulldog.

    Mary Smart, DVM

    Dr. Smart was born in Greeley, Colorado and moved to Logan, Utah, when she was 14.  Upon graduating from Logan High, Dr. Smart attended BYU, where she majored in Animal Science Pre-Vet.  After graduating, she worked for a year at Myriad Genetics, where she sequenced genetics of rice.  She then enrolled at Drexel University in Philadelphia and acquired a Masters in Animal Laboratory Science.  After graduating from Drexel, she managed the animal care facility at Boston College for three years.  Dr. Smart then attended Tufts University in North Grafton, Massachusetts, and graduated from the Cummins School of Veterinary Medicine.  She moved back home to Logan after graduating and shortly acquired a job here at Quail Pointe.

    Dr. Smart has always wanted to be a vet.  As a young student, she realized she was pretty good at biology and just thought veterinary medicine would be a “good fit” for her.  Dr. Smart is most interested in soft tissue surgery, but also enjoys the dentistry and dermatology aspects of veterinary medicine.

    Jesse and Bethany Weight, Grooomer

    Jesse began his grooming career in 2004 when he was hired here at Quail Pointe as a bather.  After spending a year here, he acquired a bather position at Petsmart, where he was eventually trained as a groomer.  Jesse   moved to Washington in 2008, where he groomed at three different businesses.  Jesse has moved back to Utah as of October 2010 and  of course we wanted him back. He is now part of our team again and doing an amazing job!
